This subject has an important role in the learning of the discipline because it combines creativity for the design with the other knowledge acquired in the different subjects. It also shows indirectly the evolution's process of architectural knowledge learned by the student along the career.

In the early years, despite the effort of having a global view, the student conforms to the specific program required, with a limited freedom of design possible due to our inexperience. The basic reflections as the treatment of space and its relationship with the environment were not regarded, classify the projects for their poor level.

Certainly, in the following years, the design process has included a broader view, designing an integrated environment, which guide to a reflection on the quality and characteristics of physical space. Furthermore, there is a better control of the ambience, working on the materiality and natural lighting, as well as a careful perception both indoor and outdoor of the project.
